DJ METHOD | MUSIC | PEOPLE | CONNECTION
What could your team create together?
A full-day live collaborative challenge that brings teams together through music, shared decisions and discovery.
Every person brings something different. Practical rhythm exercises, musical choices and reflections on how DJs think turn individual influences into one collective mix, with everyone represented.
One brief. One team. One artefact they could not produce alone.
No music or DJ experience required. Delivered at your venue.

Different influences. One shared outcome.
For HR and L&D teams, team leaders and organisations planning an away day, DJ Method makes collaboration something people can experience together.
Your team works with a shared brief: listen beyond familiar voices, make decisions together, coordinate different contributions and adapt as the work develops. The music provides the material; how the team uses it provides the conversation.
The day creates space to explore how you work together. It offers an experience to reflect on, rather than a promise of lasting behaviour change.
Three connected activities. Interwoven throughout the day.
Rhythm, Reflection and Selection are woven throughout the day, with breaks, lunch and a celebration of the team’s recorded mix.
Rhythm — we can learn together
Short, progressive exercises build from simple patterns to a shared pulse, coordination and responding to change. Learn, practise, listen and try again.
Selection — we can create together
Each person brings five tracks chosen in advance against emotional prompts. The team explores these influences and negotiates one coherent, danceable mix that represents everyone.
Reflection — we can understand how we work together
Explore how DJs read rooms, build momentum, respond to an audience and deliver a client’s vision, then connect those ideas with teams, projects and relationships.
Shape the brief around your team.
Before the day, we agree which approach best suits what you want your team to explore. These are alternatives, not levels of difficulty.
Leadership & Initiative
The team appoints an accountable decision-maker who hears contributions and decides the themes and their order.
Collaboration & Consensus
The client sets the themes. The team listens, negotiates and agrees their sequence together.
Coordination & Execution
The client sets the themes and their sequence. The team coordinates its contributions to deliver the brief.
A practical day, planned together.

A suitable indoor space and power are starting requirements. We agree layout, sound and presentation arrangements before the event.
Before
We agree objectives, the briefing approach and logistics, send preparation guidance and collect each person’s track choices.
During
Angus Atherton-Palmer, DJ Astech, facilitates the full day, with breaks, lunch and a celebration of the team’s mix. Operating the equipment is optional; listening and contributing are expected.
After
The team receives its own live recording. We close with the reflection format agreed with you, so the discussion fits your objectives.
Created from a lifetime in music.

DJ Method was created by Angus Atherton-Palmer, DJ Astech, bringing together live DJ performance, people development and operational leadership.
The starting point is simple: everyone brings an influence. The facilitator helps the team turn those contributions into something shared.
Help shape DJ Method as one of ten founding partners.
We’re looking for ten organisations to help us complete and refine the DJ Method experience.
The core programme, activities and materials are developed. These first events are where we put everything into practice with real teams, discover what works best and improve what needs attention.
You will take part in the developed full-day programme while helping us refine preparation, delivery and follow-up. We’ll invite candid feedback and use it to shape the finished experience.
In return for that contribution, your organisation receives the full-day live collaborative challenge—including your team’s own recorded mix—at a substantially reduced founding partner rate.
Founding partner rate: £1,000 (+ VAT) (£1200 inc. VAT) per day.
Standard fee: £2,500 (+ VAT) (£3000 inc. VAT) per day.
Your team’s experience and feedback will help shape the finished programme.
Ten founding partner places are available. Once all ten are confirmed, the offer closes.
Discuss becoming a founding partner.
Tell us about your organisation, team and what you would like to explore. We’ll discuss whether DJ Method fits, then agree the approach, venue arrangements and next steps.
